SWEET!

Congrats on the score!

I like the canopy top on the 72 SE  It blends well with the vertical 1/4 window plugs.

whats on your plan list...TB3 maybe?

Not 100% sure....

I like the Black, but "Petty" Blue is a strong possibility  :coolgleamA:

I hear ya it is a tough call.  the black on black theme is very nice, but to get her close to what you had is a powerful draw.

A guilty pleasure of my youth is to get a 75 cougar.   Aside from the obvious ford product puns, but they truly are a...unique...looking ride, but its tough to beat a car i grew up in as a child!

Yup....I figure we're just about 76.17% of the way there !!

Hunkered down in Oklahoma tonight--out at the famous (or is it infamous) Ranch....

Check in with ya tomorrow night from 'somewhere in The Show Me State'.

HERE'S CONFIRMATION THAT HE'S STILL IN ONE PIECE, DAYTONA
(your SE, not necessarily the Tow Driver):

I'll tell you one thing I've learned:

When I get the 66 "polished up" and ready to be put on the market, you can forget Craigslist and Ebay...

I'm going to put it on a car trailer and head east on I-40 !!

If it's anything like with this 72, I'm betting I don't make the Arizona state line before someone has made
me an offer I can't refuse !!

(You're lucky I'm a man of my word, Chris....or I would be sitting back in CA, sucking on my own Mickey Wide Mouths and counting my pictures of Dead Presidents !!

And if that humidity and heat index is as bad as I think it's going to be there, you'd better have TWO fridges and an 'iced down' wash tub full of them puppies !!

:smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol:

(COUPLE MORE SHOTS FER YA:)

(Even on a trailer, these beasts really suck the gas, don't they?
;D ;D

You must be getting close, Jerry.

I see green grass and trees instead of palm trees, sand and rocks...

Who IS that sexy bastard posing next to my car ?

:smilielol:

That is one good lookin ride.  I had a 72 Petty Blue SE Brougham with a fresh paint job that I let my third wife talk me into trading for a 1985 LaBaron vert... Shoulda kept the 72 and traded the wife. I'd be money ahead.  :brickwall:

Do 72 SE's all have that funky slim quarter curtain? I scoped out a 72 today in Decatur, IN. Wondering if it was an SE/ Brougham car? It had a 383/727 9.25 combo. Someone ( a worse hack than myself) installed Continental? opera glass in the sail panels and the car was full of plastic. Had a nice looking hideaway assembly, though. For $4,700, I passed.

Yes, all 72 S.E.'s have a HUGE c-pillar and tiny quarter windows. Some folks aren't fond of the look and the visibility when changing lanes is a real bitch!

Yes, Jerry, the way home is straight that way....

Uhhh....To Ohio ???

Well That's one way to get there, I guess. :shruggy:

Jerry, I'd like to thank you again.

It's so refreshing to meet a man who will stick to his word, despite insurmountable circumstances, overcoming impossible

obstacles, to keep a promise made to a tiny blip on a computer screen, a voice on the phone, a perfect stranger, 1800 + miles

away, just because he said he would.

A far lesser man would have just said "Screw that Bozo, I've changed my mind, I think I'll just keep it"

Thank you, Sir.

I'm forever in your debt.

Chris
