Your beloved Charger is stolen, what do you replace it with ??

Assume one day you went out to where your charger sleeps and it is gone. You file an insurance claim and a police report. :police:

Insurance co. pays you current fair market value for your car.   Police tell you it was stolen by Russian Mafia, its in Siberia, and you realize that even if you gathered all your Mopar buddies for revenge :callme:, the Russian Mafia would put the beat down on all of you  :spank:- so it is NOT-recoverable.

What would you replace it with ?     Same year, same color scheme car ?  Different body style altogether ?  A new Camry  [uggh!   :icon_smile_dead:] or something else "practical" for the family ?

Personally, I'd find a 4 spd 1970 Superbee or Coronet R/T in a rarely seen  color, with the stock "razor" hood. Something about that funky front end with the B-body proportions....

77 Ram-Charger SE factory 440 'Macho' package

I might go for a '68 Coronet like RangerDans

or any '68-72 roadrunner :yesnod:

......but we have the Kansas Mafia, I'd hire them to get mine back :icon_smile_big:

Change the Title to Challenger for me.....

I'd build exactly the same thing we have now. Not letting some punk make me swap cars when I'm not ready.
Then I'd save up and buy a Triple Black 68 Charger.........:icon_smile_big:

Hmm, first I'd find the thief, and feed him into a woodchipper :icon_smile_big: Then get another '70 Charger.

I'd find another 69 Charger

OR

swing a deal on a 73 Charger and a modestly optioned Challenger for the wife.

either way, no projects please, they need to done and running - not pristine show cars, but ready to go.

So ummmm, who wants my address? Bring a big truck and lots of hands to haul out the parts.   :icon_smile_big:

TruckDriver

I'd replace it with a 2nd gen Charger OR a '71 or '72 Roadrunner.  :yesnod:

I'd get another '69 Charger, just like the one stolen.  The only difference would be the skull and spinal cord of the thief hanging from the mirror.
Matt. 14:8 (KJV) "And she, being before instructed of her mother, said, 'give me here John Baptist's head in a Charger.'"

come on it was just "make believe" it doesnt exactly  have to be the russian mafia, just if there was no way they ever tracked it down  :rotz:

That has a "Two lane black top" look to it. The best part of that movie was when a '70 Charger smoked the future singers in there Chebby.

I'd take the money, hit HLPAG, buy 4 father and son yeeha projects and have enough useable parts for 1/2 of  one car

Wow, you are dumb.....  It's all hypothetical.  Oh, sorry, that was a pretty big word for you.  I'll try again.  It's all just pretend.  Not real.

If I couldn't recover my Barracuda at all, I'd go for a 71-72 Plymouth RR/Satellite Sebring.  Doubt I could afford the GTX.  Or, a 67-68 Barracuda fastback.

id buy a project 71 R/T then modify the hell out of it. stock sucks!

haueter66

I would buy a 35 Ford 4 door... only because that was my grandfathers first car and I would love to have one.  They are nice looking cars (my opinion)

If I were to stay mopar, I think another 3rd gen charger, or maybe 71/72 RR

GTX

I've always wanted and plan on someday finally getting a Pantera.  In fact, when the Charger is done we are going to casually start looking maybe to sell or trade towards a Pantera and then get another Charger.
I know where several Chargers are but Panteras are getting very rare and expensive.

derailed

I would buy that orange 69 superbee that a member here has or just had on ebay or another 68 Charger or 67 Goat

I could probably get 4000 out of mine on insurance.  Since that would not be near enough to get a NICE 3x Black 3rd gen I'd start looking for somthing more affordable and cool:

I LOVE Furys:

If some one stole my beloved Charger,or anyother beloved Mopar that I have, then I would replace the pistol grip that was once in my hand with the pistol grip of a Smith and Wesson revolver, and go put some lead in the son bitch!!!!! My 440 magnum would be replaced with a 44 magunm!!!!!!! :icon_smile_evil:

Make sure you pull those motors before sending the cars to never never land. I realy want to build something GM just so I can use a 500 in it. I had plans on dropping one in my 73 Monte Carlo back in high school. My buddy wouldn't part with his motor, something about not being able to drive his car ticked him off, some friend.

Really?  That means they might sell one for cheap.  I could use a nice fastback..... ;D

In it's current condition, I wouldn't be able to collect enough insurance money to replace it. So, I'd end up getting a loan & buying another one just like it! :icon_smile_big:
I'd just make sure it's driveable. :yesnod:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I have then stored up at my folks house next to there barn and as long as they don't care that's where they'll sit for eternity. I bought a few junk cars and stripped the parts I thought I needed off them and them sent them to the crusher, only to find I needed something else a few years later. I took all the mouldings and good parts that might be affected by the weater off, and everything else just sits. I have a buddy that want the whole frame and chassis out of one tho make a street rod out of. He has a 40 plymouth shell with no frame and oddly enought with very little modification one of the frames will fit.  ;D

69_500

Depends on what the insurance company deems the value of my car. I'd either go for another 69 Charger 500 if I could find one for sale at that time, or just go after a project Daytona.
