Ever heard of this? I thought I remembered seeing this in the 70s a couple of times.

If you go WAYYYY Back to the early/mid 1970s. HURST made a Hurst Hatch, which was an aftermarket kit for T-tops.

Seems the Trans Am T-tops roof was popular.

GM used some hurst hatch roofs on firebirds and others from 76-78 before making their own.  They were not dealer installed and were done by Hurst prior to delivery to the dealership.
