Smaller tires or slap on a set of stock steel wheels (cheapest route).

I have 15x7 rims with less than 3.5" backspacing on the front of my car.  I have 235/60-15 with at least 3/4" clearance to my inside fender lip.  my tire top sits about 1/2" up into the fender.  You must have some really fat tires mounted on those rims - nevermind the low stance.

Cheapest route - raise the car up
2nd cheapest - steel/used rims - or possibly new ones anywhere from $50 - $200 - but the backsoacing will have to be just right.
3rd - new tires - you can probably find a decent radial for around $80 bucks each.

I also have 15x7 Centerlines on the front of my '68. They have a 3-3/8" backspacing & I'm also running a 235/60R15 tire. No rub issues at all.
From the picture, it looks like your front tires are very tall. What size are they? The front end 'might' be a tad down, hard to tell but the tire looks kinda big.

i had 245/70/15's on the front.. but my EX-buddy at the shop who had my car hostage for the last 3 1/2 yrs told me they were toooooo BIG and i would end up ripping my fenders off!!!
soooo i went & found a set of 225/70/15... that's what i have on there now..... and i was still told by someone that they would prob rub the inside of the fenders?!?!?

really bill?!?!?.... hmmmmm maybe i'll end up being all right then?!?!? i was hopping to get away with what i have for now.... till i do my "real" wheels later on!! hahaha
i just went out & measured.... i have @ an inch to the fender lip...
i guess im just being paranoid because of what i was told?!?!?

THANKS GUYS!!!
guess we"ll see when i get her on the road!! hopefully soooon!!!

John they clear on a normal turn but if you turn and hit a bump I could almost guarantee there going to rub. (From what I seen when I was there)

Your tires are still too tall. I think that was pointed out in your previous post about them. Your wheels aren't the worst part of the problem, the tire aspect ratio is. Get some 60 series and the problem will be fine. I'm sure there are salvage yards, used tire places, and retread offerings in your area that are cheap enough to avoid this problem, again.

225/60R15 is about a 25.5" diameter
235/60R15 is about a 26.0" diameter
225/70R15 is about a 27.3" diameter
