Steering issue

My sterring wheel moves in and out about a 1/2 inch. When it's in all the way it feels like its binding a bit? Is there a adjustment bolt or a way to secure it. The wheel feels a bit loose??? Thought, help??? Pic of how to repair would be super!!! Thanks in advance!

1st check the coupler at the steering box and be certain its not coming apart! Do this before you use the car again! 2nd the steering shaft is a two piece shaft designed to collapse in a bad crash. Do a search here and you will find many topics and photos on this subject.
