SHE IS ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hooked up the positive battery cable, pressed the gas pedal 3 times, turned the key and she started right away. We had to shut down due to a fuel line leak. Fixed that and then did take 2.........

Here is the video of take 2

Very nice!    I was glad to hear the "I got oil pressure" statement, and I loved the "something smells" comment from your wife at the end. Classic.  ;)

Thanks everyone.

I'm just a tad over 6'1". The six way seat sits noticeably higher than the standard seat rail assemblies. I haven't had time to experiment with the adjustments to get the optimal seat height/angle yet.

Excellent! Congrats! :2thumbs: I hope to see it at Carlisle.

Ron

Thanks Ron.

The engine was spec'd out by Ron.....he figured out the combo...I bought the pieces.....a pro shop put it together. Figure just over 500 HP........I had it quickly dyno'd but I botched the vacuum set up and it pulled off 460 HP on center carb alone...the outboards were my botch. Not bad for a 440-2bbl.

Good luck with that.  I had the six way in my Challenger & I used to be 5' 10"ish & my head would hit the roof.  Never did like that about that car, tried all sorts of settings.  The only thing I liked about the 6-way was I could rock it back when it came time to transfer my chair across the front of me to the pass. seat.

I never realized how close the door scoops on 70 chargers come close to the front fender when the door opens..  :o

Let me go on record for the zillionth time that I absolutely love 1970 Charger R/T's!  (those who follow my posts already know this so its really no secret)

Now you include an SE optioned car..., plum crazy....., and a six pack! Its PERFECT!  :2thumbs:

Wow!  :o  A stunning car and equally stunning restoration.  You should be very proud. :icon_smile_wink:

I'd love to see her at Carlisle. :yesnod:

Thanks everyone, and Bill not sure it measures up to your beauty though.  :2thumbs:

Yesterday I got a nice surprise....the Moparfest selection committee advised me that my car will be displayed in the indoor arena. I had always hoped but was never sure it would get picked. At least a Charger will be "representing" among all the e-bodies this year. Now I just have to finish the darn thing  :yesnod:

Very cool Don,

Looks terrific!

I on the other hand I myself am trying to work thru more gremlins with mine. Now Im getting a definate clicking on the passenger side of the motor at idol. I thought it just might be an exhaust gasket leak but i'm not detecting any blow by around the exhaust or connection pipe. sounds like it might be coming from the left head.  :-\ :rotz:
