oil pan help

Well I lost high gear on the hauler. Taking it to the shop tommorow.  I have some wicked dents in the oil pan of the Daytona.  I have been trying to get it straightened out so I can at least make the tail end of Branson.  I have removed the bolts but don't have enough clearance to pull the pan.  Does anyone know what I need to do?  I think if I undo the moter mounts I can jack the engine up enough to get clearance? not sure what would be best unbolt the moter mounr from the ears, or from the K member?  Do I need to undo both sides?  If any one has pulled the pan please respond.  I was realy looking foreward to Branson, I guess it is just not meant to be

one motor mount and the steering link , drop y pipe  , it will work

drop the steering center link and the oil pan will come right out without lifting the engine or lossening either mount

69's should be a 402 pan if you need one

That sounds like a plan!  I have the car at the high school (I realy need my own lift)  the tool cage is locked so I need to take my own tools will I need a ball joint seperater to remove the center link?  any special tools or tips?  I plan to drop the hauler off at 8am when that shop opens then go straight to the school and finish the oil pan.  If all goes well I might get to join you guys late Thursday afternoon

Bill, if I could get a good pan in time to make Branson I would buy it.  Hey! I have an idea.  Why don't you sell me a pan, deliver it to Granite City, help me put it in and we can all go to Branson

The only way you would runn into problems , not being able to get the pan out is if the motor mount rubber is very bad causing them to sag. If that would be the case I would strongly reccomend replacing them.

a fork is need to get the steering link apart  dont tear the boots

I looked over the passenger side pretty well when I was under her, and it didn't look worn.  I will look at it again tommorow.

Thanks, stuart, I will take a fork with me and try not to break anything.  Usualy on a job like this it cost me more fixing the stuff I break than the repair it self

The WannaBee gets less than 7 mpg, I could take the Challenger, but I am realy proud of this Daytona.  I realy think if the Daytona can't go well, lets say I am not sure were I will be Friday, but my calender is clear.  If the weather is as well, I may be headed west

We missed you in Branson, Allen. Everyone there was pulling for you to be able to come.
We'll see you in St. Louis though. I'm making my hotel reservations for MMW today.
I'm going back to Branson on the 25th and 26th for the Route 66 Mopar show there at area 57. That's the same place that we just used for the wingcar meet.
It rained (poured) on Friday morning but the skies cleared and we all managed to get over to the Dodge dealership safely. We had a great time but, as usual, it was over way too soon.

I thought about coming up early Friday but the weather channel said I would be driving in rain both ways but it didn't rain here until about 4pm.  I have been folowing Stewards photos and have been very jelouse.  I hope you and Sandra can make it to the Mopad Friday night during MMW.
