Ok, so not the most thrilling pics, no actual flames, and no pictures of big pretty fire apparatus but hey it made my lunch hour interesting. As I was just about to take the dogs out for a walk a tone came in for a car fire at the place down the street from us. Turns out it used up all the oxygen in the vehicle and essentially put itself out before it generated enough heat to pop the side windows and obtain more O2. So by the time we showed up it had pretty much taken care of itself. But any chance to use the equipment is worthwhile and always a learning exp.

Here are some pics of the incident.

One of the oft forgotten elements of your local fire dpt is the interface to the community both before and after an incident, not just swooping in, putting the fire out and off we go. So in that light I offer up the following pic of us watering the flowers as we were breaking down the hose lines and doing a bit of overhaul. Community relations at its best!  :2thumbs:

Im betting its a total, The gawd awful smell of burned plastic permeates everything. There isn't any part of that interior that is salvageable. So its a shell with a motor.

Well, he can always say there was a tiny small fire in there that he didn't want it to get loose.  :smilielol:
