Holley 770 - stripped fuel bowl threads

Has anyone used the Holley Heli-coil kick part number 26-2 on a stripped fuel bowl threads?  I have bought the part ( $68) Will this work?  Heading down to the hardware store to get somethings that were not included int he very expensive kit

small square nosed punch
a top handle for the tap

should i used red lock tight on the heli-coil kit?

Thank you, I maned up and did the heil coil and it worked well.  The gas leak was not from the carb bowl but the fuel line that goes to the side of the carb.  It was leaking down the front of the carb making it look like a it was the carb leaking gas.
