THE CHARGER PUNK

im guessing alot of people know about the s/s 1968 hemi hurst darts and the way they came with the primer and bare fiberglass with lil wheels and almost no options( van seats,no back seat,no rear defroster, radio delete,no power anything and no window tracks) but big 426 hemi ramcharger engines . so i am getting 2 my question what would you think if someone( i.e. me) built a 1969 daytona replica to look like those 68 darts exactly the same way to make a ''what if'' car . post whatcha think-MATT

I think you would really confuse a lot of people.
Personally, I'd like to see it, or at least see a video of the faces of the mopar folks as they walk up to it.

you mean,,, make a Daytona look like it had a fiberglass front end with a big ole' honker of a hood scoop?........  Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaa,, The Daytona was built for one thing, speed over distance........ not a 1/4 mile.   :icon_smile_big:

I don't know.  It's kind of interesting to think about it in a simialr fashion to those B/MP Superbirds they built for Sox and Martin and...
geez, I just drew a blank on who the other drag 'bird went to.

maybe but they made s/s superbirds a few for sox and martin and the one featured in this months mopar action. so why not a daytona? :)-MATT

That's what I say.  It's all just dreaming anyway so why not a "Dick Landy Daytona".  I think Big Willie would have pounded you if you tried to tell him Daytona's were not for drag racing.
