I've been flogging myself on the Deora replica for the last few weekends.
In the not to distant past, I was provided with the key ingredient needed to construct the front grille and headlight surrounds - the measurements!

A very generous person - FROM THIS WEBSITE - went above and beyond to get the needed information for me, as he knew people who could actually put their hands on the Deora, if ever so briefly.
I asked to have an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper placed on the surface of the truck, and photographed. I could scale the rest.
This was done, and I drew up the plans accordingly. It pays to have friends! THANK YOU AGAIN!!!

I started construction on the wire frame for the front facia, following the example of the Alexander brothers. Here's a picture from last weekend.
I'll be continuing with more of the "basket weaving" next weekend, followed by skinning it with sheetmetal.

I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Looking for a CD by  'The Sub-Mersians'  entitled "Raw Love Songs From My Garage To Your Bedroom"

Also, any of the various surf-revival compilation albums this band has contributed to.

About a month left before Carlisle, you better get with it Robin.

Hey Barry...my Deora will likely never make it to Carlisle!! That's a long way to tow!
I am however aiming to get a couple of shows in for this summer, providing I can focus on completing the bodywork!
There is the Atlantic Nationals in New Brunswick:

And if I can swing it, there's Moparfest in New Hamburg, Ontario in August.

There was one of these advertised for sale in Australia many many years ago back in about 1981.
