Time to clean out my shop of some extra Charger parts that someone here might need.   As I find parts I don't need, I will post them.

Those of you with long memories remember we did something similar last year.  Terms of the deal are the same:  I pick who gets the part & I will send it via USPS.  I PM you with the actual shipping cost.  When the part arrives, you then send me payment .  Good car karma ensues for everyone involved.  Priority will be given to those really needing the part & senior members of this board.  Lower 48 states only.

Please don't be a jackass and stiff me on payment (like Ryan Biccum, whose still enjoying a set of free & brand-new front seat foams a year later).  If you "Pull a Ryan", or if I give you the part and you flip it for a profit, bad car karma will follow you & your car forever.  Seriously, don't mock car karma.

With the disclaimers out of the way, on to today's part:  a 1969 Charger driver's side upper door panel in Saddle Tan with factory provision for remote mirror.  I bought a pair of tan upper pads off e-Gouge years ago but needed only the passenger's side pad.  After clean-up, the passenger side pad came out near-mint. The driver's side pad is dirty and there are some wrinkles in the vinyl at the top.  Nothing major, but certainly not perfect.  After clean-up, it will be a very good driver's quality part, but not mint.  The medallion is attached & in good shape.

Good luck & good car karma to everyone.  Except Ryan Biccum, A-Hole.

You're a good guy Neal. Even after RB stiffed you you still have the heart to give.  Cheers      Ted

bull

I guess I missed it. You're saying you GAVE the guy free seat foam and he refused to pay for the shipping costs? :o

Neal_J

Yup Bull, that's the deal.

If you're curious, search on Biccum and you'll see the Pay It Forward saga from 2009.  First, his story was "Sorry, I moved...", then it was "I told you to put the phone number on the box so the Post Office would call me..." (WTF?) then it was "I sent you the check."

A year later, the bottom line is that Ryan has a pair of new Year One front seat foams and I have a receipt for $44 shipping.  Some really amazing members here, not affiliated with the transaction, even offered to pay the shipping so I wouldn't have to eat it.

The lesson is that there are all types here, but more great folks than jackasses.

Whatever.

Just had to look back at the Pay if Forward thread.  Sorry to hear that man.

I'm glad to see that Biccum douche bag hasn't tarneshed your magnanimous offers, ...and hopefully hasn't ruined it for any other of us Ryans out there.

I take it your 69 is complete.  Any pics?   :popcrn:

Damn, I wish I would have laid claim to them. :slap: I need seat foams for my 68 and there's no way I'm going to beat a $44 price tag. Even if the check did magically disappear he could have sent you a second one for $44 and still come out way ahead. This Biccum guy sounds like a real dumba$$/scumbucket.

Well, my goal today was not to rehash the past put to put a decent part in a brother's hands.  Playing hookie from work today anyway, I took the pad outside and gave it a good scrubbing.  It's much cleaner now but surely not perfect.  See attached pics taken just now:  90% of the pad looks great (pic 1) but the nicks and wrinkles (pics 2&3) make it driver-quality.  A pic of my money-pit, er Charger, is attached.

Cheers!~

Neal,

At least give first preference to your Bay Area buddies who can drive by and pick up the items!   ;)

You are a good man. If that vein I have a wheel oil seal that anyone (fits a Ford  :-\) may have. Part Number 19214 from Rock Auto Parts...they stuck it in the shipping box for ballast....

Actually, I first thought of you & Dave, Dan.   But the 69 pad won't fit a 68 and Dave's interior is black.

Best, Neal
