Its been 7 years in the making. I bought this in 2003 at Goodwill! 74 SE with sunroof. I have done all the work myself (rust repair, body work, paint, freshen up the motor, exhaust, interior...) My favorite change was moving the bumpers in and loosing the rubber fillers and bumperettes. I wish I did something with those ugly side marker lights. I still have a few interior things left to do. They're never 100% done. I was 14 when I bought my first car. A 72 SE. It sure is great to be out on the road in a Charger!  :coolgleamA:

I sanded them with the DA and primed with epoxy primer. Also welded all the bolts and ground them off smooth first.

E5 Charger

Wow, are you sure that's the same car. Great job! I want to move in my bumpers also I know I have to get 72 rear bumper brackets, but how much did you have to lengthen the bolt holes on the front brackets?

Beautiful.  Ha, the hood ornament was the only thing I kept from my 73.

I hear you! I overlooked that one. Easily fixed with a bulge hood!

Looks great!  You can sand blast the chrome bumpers prior to painting.  I found that a little easier than the DA :Twocents:

also lost the hard to find rubber trim between the fenders hood and bumper by elongating the bumper bracket mounting holes and pulling the bumper in.

:2thumbs: Looks Great! I hate that rubber filler. Especially 35 year old rubber fillers.
