We have a Hobart in the shop we use for Tig welding, it can also be switch to stick welding. Good machine, no real problems, had a circit panel go out, but they got the part right away. All three are name brand machines, can get parts anytime, & no trouble finding them years later.

I got a Hobart 135  for the house here. Been a great little machine. Did excellent on the body work a few years back.

I have a rain check from Tractor Supply for a Hobart welder, they just haven't been able to supply me with one yet.  :eyes:

One of the heavy equipment mechanics in the shop where I work has been welding for years. He knew I was looking for a welder & told me about the Hobart. I had asked him about a factory reconditioned Lincoln that I posted here about a month or so ago from Home Depot, & he said you probably would be okay with any of the major brands like Lincoln, Hobart, or Miller. Even reading all the responses from previous posts there seem to be pluses & minuses on all brands, & just as many people who hate one brand as well as others love them.

Well just picked up a working Hobart 135 Welder...    Came with a small tank, regulator, and a full spool of wire for $250....   couldn't really go wrong there      Now I can actually start patching big holes on my mopars...

Show up to the guys house to buy it and he had a 1970 Road Runner project sitting in the garage    haha      Mopar people are everywhere.

Missed this...

I "borrowed" an older Hobart 120. It needed some parts to make it work so I hauled it down to the local welding supply. The owner said they are great welders. Parts weren't too terribly expensive either (except the proprietary gun liner). So far it's working well and is pretty easy to handle (I'm a novice).

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.
