This 16-year-old kid from Canada restored a Super Bee by himself doing pretty much everything it looks like. I'm sure it helps that his dad owns a restoration shop but it's still pretty insperational, or depressing, depending on your point of view.

The kid had everything available to him to do such a resto.  The car turned out great for such a young gun.  Cool video.

LOL!! He gets it done and what's the first thing he does?? A BURNOUT!! LOL!!  :smilielol: Great story. There's not too many 16 yr. olds that would have the ambition to stay with a project like that. He worked for it and he deserves it.  :2thumbs:

Despite all the resources at his disposal that boy took ownership of his project, stuck with it and made it a reality. Nothing short of outstanding. Whom ever he's working for now has a keeper!

Be this as it may, Cody is still ours!

My nephew did a 66 Charger as a shop project in high school.  It was a car we looked at on a road trip when he was 15.  He bought it on his 16th birthday.  He did most of the work himself or at least had a hand in all of it.  Body, suspension engine, paint, interior, all of it.  The real beauty was it kept him so broke he didn't have enough left over money or time to get into trouble in those years.  The car is in his high school senior year book photos.

He got an A for a grade on it, and was invited to a show for judging the week it was completed.  That was about nine years ago.  He still has the car.  It's the third car in my signature, and he makes his living as an auto body tech.  The car will be at Mopars in the Park this weekend and still looks pretty.

You can do it with enough encouragement, and it turned into a great family hobby for us.

I was wondering the same thing when I saw the video. Even doing all the work himself I bet it was a $20k bill not counting the cost of the car.

My car would be done too if I had access to a restoration shop 24/7.....unfortentley I'm not so lucky  :shruggy: Very cool Superbee....
