A family friend of ours is a muscle car fan. He has a '57 Belair and a '72 Chevelle SS. Anyways, me and my dad went to his other house today to pick up some siding and gutters. I found this Charger sitting there. It's a '72 400-2bbl auto. It's not in the greatest shape. The roof is dented, the windshield has a hole at the top, hood is crunched. I'm sure the floor pans aren't great. The rear frame rails seemed to be good. I never knew he had this one. My dad phoned him to let him know we came by for the siding and gutters and then he asked about the Charger. He said it was his best friend's and he died 12 years ago. When he died, he got the car and he's had it since. He dosen't know what he's going to do with it. He said he'd like to restore it but he has no immediate plans to do that. He did say however if he does decide to sell, we get first dibs because he knows what we are capable of when it comes to restoring cars. Anyways, I'm curious as to what you guys think it's worth?

Well, we are moving to a house next month that has a shop and carports and lots of parking. Next time I see him, me and my dad are going to offer to store the car at our house where it won't be sitting in the grass.

I would start at $500 and NOT spend over $1000 (and that is too high in my book)

Wow, that is quite a find.  An SE, big block car with full vinyl roof, console shift, A/C, hideaway lights.  If you were looking for a project car, this sure would be a nice car to bring back.

This car was really sharp when it was on the road.  I am sure it would make a nice tribute car to get it back together.  Don't part this one out if the body is in decent shape.

Wow...I think that is a decent find.  Even if it is rotten there are a ton of good parts on there.

72 SE w/ hide-a-ways, slapstick, pedal dress up, tuff wheel, A/C, a BB ( are you sure its a 2Bbl?  What is the VIN?)

I would be very interested in it.  Those taillights and hideaways alone are worth some good parts $$$.  Plus it being a 72SE has its advantages with its distinctive 1 year only C pillar.

I have my hands full with cars at the moment so I'm not gonna push to try and get it. However, he knows if he wants to sell, me and my dad are interested. I'm still going to offer to store it at our new house on dry concrete ground so I can atleast clean it up for him.
