Just got an email from the guys over at inline.  For those of you waiting for this group buy send me an email and let me know what you are interested in.  I need part#'s and all your contact info (name, number, and address).  Sounds like it will be about the same as last year 25% on all stuff done in house and 10% on everything else.  Thanks  matt  bsanders@ameritech.net

This sounds good.  Is there a deadline?  I am thinking about early in the new year!

PocketThunder

I'm in for a gas tank, sending unit, straps, and pad.

You got mail!

runningman

No deadline yet, I will take a couple of weeks and get everyone together that's interested and probably get it started after the first of the year.

Cool, thanks for hooking this up!  I actually called them this morning about the same thing, and got a bit of a blow-off from the customer service guy (to be expected).  He claimed all the orders would have to be made at one time with one credit card to qualify for any discount.  I take it you found someone more helpful than I did?  I was about to p.m. you to see if you had a contact name over there.  Anyway, thanks for the help and check your p.m.

runningman

Yeah it is the same guy we dealt with last time.   I live pretty close to them and stopped up there last year to get the group buy going last year.   He was actually pretty happy with how it turned out.

Troy

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

I may have to get in on this

Chryco Physco and I went to this place this year and not only were they not very helpful, but also not very knowledgible about they're products.   We left there thinking . . . ."you would think these guys would a least have a clue about the products they are selling!!     ::)

Thanks for trying to save everyone some cash though!!   :2thumbs:
Tomorrow is promised to NOBODY . . . .

I'm going to need to make some purchases of replacement lines soon, but I'm not that familiar with Inline. Anybody have any experience with them, and have any idea how they compare to the two repro line vendors that I am familiiar with, Right Stuff and Finelines?

The place is owned by a couple brothers.  They have grown a bunch in the last 6 years.  My freind had a business right next door to their old place.  I could ask him if he knows the best person to talk about this stuff is if he knows. Its started because the owners could not find brake lines for their own cars so they decided to bend their own.  WHen they started they bought junkyard stuff and bent new ones by hand, my understanding its all done using automation now. I have never bought anything from them myself though.
Over?! its not over until we say it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?!...Hell no! and its not over now!..(Germans? Pearl Harbor?...shut up, he's on a roll)

runningman

Yeah it is all done by CNC benders, I was up to the new shop and it's pretty nice.  They were also real receptive to this group buy stuff.  Alot of companies don't seem that interested.

I bought a few lines from them.  Recently bought some 71 Cuda lines.  They are great guys to deal with.  The place is a few miles from me.  Let me know if you guys need any help.

Hey guys can I get in on an order?? If so I need the complete brake-line set for my 68 Charger..dumb question. I have drum brakes, could I get the "disk lines" or are they a different end fitting and line diameter?
thanks

I am having trouble getting enough people together for this.  I had the guys over at Moparts in on it last time, they changed the rules on their site.  The only group buys that can get posted are ones that are done with sponsors of the site.

Troy

What do you still need runningman?

We only have like 6 people interested right now.  I don't think they are going to want to deal in anything that small.  We had probably 25 last time but most were from Moparts.  I posted the message over there and it was deleted asap.

Hi Runningman, I would be interested in ordering lines but I am not 100% sure what to order. I have a 69 Charger that I am converting to front disc using the e-body spindles and I am not sure what set to order. Any ideas?   Thanks Dan

runningman

Okay, I kind of inserted the inline tube group buy into Dante's group buy over at moparts.  Hopefully we will get some more people involved now and get this going.  If anyone has any questions as to what they need to get you can check out inline's site.  It's www.inlinetube.com

What's the link for the group buy on moparts?

Runningman...I would be in for the fuel lines and brake lines for a 72 440 Charger and a 70 Plymouth Roadrunner.

runningman

Okay, Dante is going to take over this group buy also.  You can email him directly at autos@comcast.net  tell him you are with the dodgecharger.com group buy.   matt

runningman,
Do they make stainless braided hoses for Mopars?
I couldn't find them on their site.

I am not sure, I got mine with my brake kit from SSBC.  You may want to call them directly or contact Dante.  Thanks  matt

I think over 3 months without a reply is reason to let this thread fade away.
