The Superbird hood release pop-up spring (2935 375) is listed in the 1970-71 parts book under Group 15-11-16.  There, the book says that particular P/N fits 1970-71 E-bodies, 1970-71 DODGE B-bodies and all 1970-71 C-bodies (1969 full-size Chrysler models too, if that matters) -- but not 1970 B-body Plymouths for some strange reason.  The next year, 1971 Plymouth B-bodies got the 2935375 spring, but for 1970 the rest of the Plymouth B-bodies just haaaaad to be different.

Wont this clamp work?

All of the clamps listed through that vendor are too big.  The diameter of the 2935375 spring wire is much smaller than their smallest listing (3/16") - plus, the original 2935559 clamp itself is only 1/2" long and 3/8" wide... any of that catalog's listings would look out of place and wouldn't clamp the spring down tight anyway.

I wonder why someone isn't out grabing all the imperial and other springs from whatever other car they were on.  My friend joe has a junkyard full of mopars.  can you just give me a list of other cars that have the same spring as the bird??   I would just fab the clamps myself.    thanks  tom

I made a set of them for a car at best of show--not perfect, but OK unless seriously scrutinized.  I bought some clamps that looked like the ones in the mcmaster catalog at home depot that fit the wire, then cut them down to size.  it was a pain in the ass but we had a Daytona that didn't have them.
