Hello All,,
Wanted to wish everyone a Happy Memorial Day and remember those fallen for the call of Duty and their families.. Make sure everyone enjoys this day and remember the ultimate sacrifice wasn't in vain.

It's hard when you've witness this sacrifice. My experiences were during Patriot Duty at Balad AB, Iraq in '05 and '07. It's a solemn feeling standing at attention with salute watching the casket of a fallen hero placed in a C-17 for their final journey home. I made sure our young airmen were there to witness this VERY REAL thing called war.

I was honored to have been able to go to Arlington National Cemetery on a family vacation years ago.  Among many words I could use to describe the visit and witnessing the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, one that comes to mind is:  Stirring

We shouldn't ever forget those that gave, as Lincoln said, "the full measure of devotion".
