Love the US or hate it, we do have the best-looking flag in the world. :2thumbs:

While I will admit Old Glory is a good looking flag, I like the Canadian flag better, but I am biased.  Hope everyone enjoyed Flag Day.

I think flag day is beginning to lose its flavor with the public here in the U.S.  When I was growing up it was seen as a day to honor the U.S. and show pride in our country by displaying many, many flags.  Nowadays, it seems such a fervor for patriotism is no longer a priority.

When you have your elected officials trying to shred the constitution and everything else this country stands/stood for... It's like patriotism is almost looked down on by the people running our government.

Almost? It is, 100% looked down on, don't be timid in saying what it is. :Twocents:

Everyday is Flag Day and Veterans Day for me. Thank you Vets and all their families. :patriot:

well, i wouldnt try and point fingers at just them... the disrespect to ol' glory runs far deeper.  whether they are in the limelight or just standing on the street, any manner of dishonor to the U.S. by a U.S. citizen is despicable and dastardly.  You will find such behavior everywhere, all the time.  You just do not see it on TV.

Happy belated Flag Day..........  It should be celebrated........ It's a symbol of who we are as a country. Think I ticked someone off yesterday when I mentioned to them that the flag hanging on the wall of one of the financial advisor's at the Dodge dealership I went to yesterday had it hanging wrong. Had the flag with the stars to the right........  :patriot:

Ticked off or not I'm sure you corrected this wayward person. Same thing happened at the dry cleaners we use right after 911. They we're more than pleased to be shown the correct way to hang our flag.

While I respect the U.S.A flag and the Canadian Flag , I also honour and respect the New Zealand Flag as my country of birth and the fact that two uncles and two great uncles served under it. The four stars denote the Southern Cross constellation and the union jack is of course part of the commonwealth empire. how the Canadians got to just have the maple leaf and no union jack is well admired in my book  :yesnod: , however, that said, it is the flag the my ancestors and many other brave souls fought under and I am proud to display it.
Also have the "Silver Fern" flag up in my garage, is the national rugby team the All Blacks

Happy Flag Day guys  :2thumbs:
