:popcrn:   I agree the the con-sensis, although I think an odd ball is likely regarding the AC w/ 4spd stuff.  It was to many years ago back in the mid 1980s I recall a friend having I am sure was an L code Charger, XP29L AC car with 4spd F3, he said it was, I am not sure if it was really a factory 4spd car,

I owned some years ago a B5 383H code 4spd AC car w/ fender tag, it went towards the Ohio or great lakes area about 1997 as I recall.

Wow this thing is still making the rounds huh?

FWIW it is a good looking car....fake tag & all ;)

Fairly early in the discussion it was made clear by Chris (Just 6T9 CHGR) that A/C was available with a 4-speed, just not with a 440 or 426 engine.  Your friend's F3 car with a XP VIN may indeed have been a factory 4-speed car with A/C just as your former B5 car, as there was no prohibition against such.  For the record, factory documents show that the only big-block engine that could be combined in a 1969 B-Body with A/C and a 4-speed transmission was the 383-4 (E63, "H" Code) just like your B5 car.  The 383-2 and 440-4 engines required an automatic transmission to get A/C.
