this is why I asked about the VIN... it CANNOT be a XP.  Does anyone else see the X on the VIN there?

I think anyone would have a hard time finding an "X" in a 71 Charger VIN.

thats exactly the point.  if its a X, then the VIN is incorrect.  That is why I am asking if anyone else sees an X or it is just my eyes playing tricks on me.  Now if others see an X, then we have VIN fraud.

I don't think you can tell the first letter by that picture but the second number looks like a "3" to me meaning this is not an SE.

Why not just write it down???     And to me the "X" others are seeing is because of a scratch (or dust) on the glass.
