Howdy people, I organised a Mopar run last weekend for some friends and a few others came along as well, we had about 35 or so at the meetup and around 30 on the run up to Matakana about an hour north from here, we took a secondary old highway which passed through a lot of the smaller towns and counties. It sounded great too  ;D , some of the locals were lining up outside waving us by as we came through.

As it is turning to winter here it will be the last run for a while so it was great to get out with the families for a cruise. The destination was a country type park with pat the animals and train ride and art gallery so there is something the keep the rest of them amused while the guys are looking under the hoods.

Also some of the Fin Brothers came out for the run too, a 60 Belevedere, a friend of mine with his very cool original 58 Fury with dual quads and his dad? with his ultra cool and clean as 59 Fury. He has restored it and it is a 10. And a few good Aussie Valiants as well. The orange RR has an Indy Hemi and 4 speed ye ha, But just good fun to be out with a few more like minded car people out for a cruise and a good time.

Enjoy the pics ,    Bob

Haha, yep, lots of rain, the farmers love it, up in Auckland , upper North Island it is quite temperate , probly average between 8- 16"C 46F-60F in the bite of winter and 20 - 28C  68F-82 in the summer , occasionally higher lower. But further down the North Island on the central plateau, yes snow and good skiing. Bottom of the South Island , Queenstown is the winter resort playground so get down to -5-10C 23F- 14F regular and lower , coldest around June july august so not many car runs. I drive mine all year- damn the weather   ;) , its got wipers and not made out of gingerbread, usually can get a few mates together for a drive.
Pretty active car scene here, lots of Aussie stuff and 60's 70' US based, maybe I mput up a few more pics of shows and runs we go to.

Yep, Im a family guy married with a 6 year old daughter, that I used to take her to car shows in the stroller , so she
knows where its at. The runs I try to do are more suited to family stuff with things for kids to do , cause we all know guys like to stand around , have a few beers and talk cars, so the kids have got to be entertained as well , and then everyone is having a good day with no whinging  :yesnod:

Heres a clip, Ive put up here before, for a run that I organise every year, had 50 car and 100 odd people last year, its in october when the weather gets better

cheers tantop, I would really struggle with a project car that I couldnt drive , so got to make the most of the marginal weather. Would be tough for you guys over there with months of being heavy snow and no fun car stuff .
Cheers
