i would say no, initially, as the challenger/cuda platform didnt have the isolated crossmember like the 73/74 b bodies had.  I would measure the bolt hole distances and compare them to your crossmember frame to be sure.  good question, not sure though.

I think it could... the crossmember where it mounts that piece is not the isolated one, so technically there is not reason to not fit or be the same.

hmmm.. maybe i was thinking of the earlier 68-70's not fitting....  snatcho is probably right  go with that.

if that picture is the one in question then i would say go for it.  if it's not direct fit it's close and should be easily modified to fit.

well i spoke to the guy a little bit, its on ebay btw, and he said he wouldnt fit. said B & E bodies can change around in parts but A body is all by itsself when it comes to that. you guys agree or no?

sorry im asking so many questions, im only 19 trying to restore this car. it was suppose to be a father son project build but my dad died last year so this is the only place i can go for help. and im prolly going to need alot of it=/

i thought you said it was from a challenger....that's an E body, where does the A body come into the picture?......the only place you might find one is a junkyard....or start scouring the internet for mopar chat boards......

i somehow remember using the pictured setup in a 74, but i had to reverse the small piece that actually mounts to the tranny...or something like that...( it was back around 1981- the memory is a little foggy)

I just measured my cross member outer bolt hole 8  1/2  c to center  outer holes 15 1/4  c to c

hey guys quick update, i bought the 1974 dodge challenger transmission crossmember and it does fit the 73 dodge charger. so thanks for all the help and hope this helps anyone else in the future also.
