Speaking of... just bought this reproduction accelerator pedal from P.G. Classics. See anything missing? The repro is on the left, needless to say I sent it back.

Yeah no holes, I didn't think I should have to drill my own holes. I know I heard or read somewhere where somebody said, "how could they restore the whole car and leave those nasty pedals!".  Guess I am playing into that, me pedal is not that bad.

Just went to the mailbox in my mask and gloves to pickup a package, just kidding but it's just weird going outside, lol.

Got one NOS white door pull strap, came in the original packaging and all, just has a little rust on the ends that i will sand off and then maybe apply some RPM to the ends. Just need another strap and some of the mounting clips (mounting clips are on their way).

The two black ones I was going to spray with white SEM paint but then changed my mind.

The bottom two black ones is what I used to use when I drove the car. They are Canadian Tire (Canadian parts store) cheapies found in the Help section, but did a good job.

Picking and choosing what I will go with that's original to the car.

Nice, but take that community mail box seriously Alan. I spray the door with Lysol and then the packages/mail in it with lysol and then give it a bit before I scoop it out into a cardboard tray to set in the truck. I spray it all again at home and leave it in the shop for a bit, flip everything and spray again before I actually touch or open it. Numerous postal workers testing postive...

Fully agree Wayne, my wife is keeping me on track. Was wearing gloves and I did take a Lysol wipe with me and wiped down the box and the box the strap came in.

She just came back from Costco, seems like they got things under control and orderly. The cashier thank my wife as not being one of those people that are there every day buying 5 or 6 items.

The replacement 360 for my 318 arrived yesterday, just making a list of the parts I need to add on to it.

Probably give a few more coats of orange to the engine, not sure if I should paint the water pump or not.

  I started coating my engine bay aluminum with T-9 Boeshield. It stopped the metal getting fuzzy over time.

Power Steering Pump

So this is my original Saginaw pump, when I had my 318 on the engine stand I managed to tip the engine over, the brunt of the fall was on the passengers side valve cover and the power steering pump pulley. The pulley is all warped and not usable.

I found an NOS pulley (29511989) on eBay to replace the damaged one.

Also ordered a new Power Steering Pressure hose & Power Steering Return hose from E-Booger , also on eBay.

Used some paint stripper and Evaporust on the brackets and mounting bolts; will paint them black. Will also re-paint the pump housing as well.



Here is the pressure hose, the replacement I was told will fit but I think I will try and find an original.



The Power Steering Return Hose, 11/32 inside diameter. 14" length, trim to fit, this is long and came with 2 correct OEM USA-mfg. red constant-tension clamps.

Dynamat & Noico

Decided to spend some time on the interior. I used both Dynamat and this Noico product, plus a roller.

Started at the front; spent too much time researching how other people did it, wasn't much help so I just dove in.

May not look pretty but got the job done and will be covered by carpet.



Used the Noico on the ceiling of the car, my car does get kind of tinnie (so) up top so thgis should help.

Was going to throw out the REM insulation I got because it just didn't seem worth using.

In the end just decided to use it and glue it to the Noico, the REM stuff came in two pieces, neither fit nicely into the three/four areas so I just took some scissors and cut it up and made it fit.

As usual used the 3M 90 High Strength glue; works wonders.

I found the dynamat on the floor transformed the noise level on my car. Good job.

Seems most noise in mine comes from the trunk area.

Hey CFMopar, the thought did cross my mind as I had seen a member here (Shakey) I think it was use it and a member on road Runner Nest.

For cost effectiveness and less mess (maybe it's not?) and lack of space I have I thought that Dynamat would be better for me.

Only negative I've heard on Dynamat is that it can trap moisture under it when used on the floor. But that might have been a  lizard skin promo.

Yeah I guess it could. But how often is it going to get moisture in it? I think the weight savings is nice also and lizard skin is also just easier to apply I'd think.
