What.. using an angle grinder wrench wasn't good enough for you

Did you recheck those part number, considering it says E body??

Yeah that's the way I would usually go but thought what the heck I'll splurge.
The mirrors exactly match my originals so thankfully I don't have to go through the return hassle.
Love the work you are doing on the Bee, definitely an excellent reference source.

1971-74 E Body side mirrors are the same as 1971-72 B Body (or vise versa).

1970 E Body on an island of it's own.
1973-74 B Body same.

You'll see a lot of eBay adds stating side mirrors for 1971-74 B Body, WRONG!!

And wow what shitty screws that OER gives for those mirrors, not even close.

Actually I did see a second sticker on the box that said b-body 71-74, I did learn years ago after falling into that trap about all 71-74 mirrors being the same; as you state 73-74 are different.
Yeah the screws are a joke.

Just got a delivery at work, when I looked at all the effort that would have to go into cleaning, de-rusting, removing ball joint (I did buy the socket) and painting I figured I would buy these.

Interior Rear Quarter interior panel and support:
Or whatever it is called.  :scratchchin:

Cleaned up the panels and sprayed them with some gloss black paint:

And applied some of that caulk from DMT to replace what was there, think it was there so the panel and the support didn't make any rattling noise.

I'll install them after I get the rear quarter windows in.

Well I have decided to get my grungy looking working 3-speed wiper motor rebuilt by Stephan Fournier here in Canada.

It was fine before my car was restored but now it's going to stand out like a sore thumb.

Here are some before shots:

After shots: Coming soon!

Here's my latest purchase, time to start putting those rear quarter windows back, picked these up from National Moparts here in Canada, this is the place I actually bought my car back in '92. Hey Nigel.

Removed the old seal, the new seal slides in and this little metal tab goes through the whole in the rubber seal.

Used some silicone spray as the seal was a very tight fit; which of course you want.

As we know with most repro parts they are usually a little off, the hole that was drilled in the seal was out of place so I had to drill a new whole and it had to be a little more oval for the rubber seal to fit over it.

Finished product, I am very happy with it and glad it was available in the aftermarket, mine have always looked like crap.

Regulator Track Assembly
This was mostly in good condition, soaked the one bracket in Evaporust along with the "T" nuts and coated with RPM.

Painted the track and bracket with Eastwood's Galvanised spray just to give it a uniformed look.

Cleaned all the springs, bushings, bolts, retainers.

Pulled the ol' girl out of the garage into the sun.

Installed the roof rail weatherstripping, not fun and it seemed to fit kind of weird, also hard to compare 46 year old weatherstrip to new ones. Think I will leave the passengers side until I get the doors back on.

Also put the drip rail moulding back on, glad to get it out of the way of getting damaged.

Not much going on right now, finished off the trim, struggled a little bit with not gouging the paint as I slid the trim over the clips. Put my old corner check chrome back on, was tempted to replace them bit fo rnow I will keep them.
