I have been here in the community for about a week now. I think it is awesome how so many people come together for a common love of their Mopars. The amount of information in this community is unbelievable. So many people with so much experience and willing to help out and trouble shoot others problems which is a great helping hand. I am 38 and I am getting married for the 2nd time this Saturday May 22nd. My soon to be wife is awesome. She lets me be me and doesn't complain too often. As I stated in another thread I have 2 70 chargers. I am far from being done with the 500 and I went about 10 days ago and picked up another one, the RT. She was not mad at me for doing it she just could not understand why I felt I could not pass on this deal to get the RT. Has any others encountered this situation.  I explained to her that these cars will be restored over years and not months. Any thoughts or feed back will be appreciated.

Congratulations and good luck.

I don't think any of us really understand you

<and I'm not real sure we want to   :nana:

You've admitted to your wife (and yourself) that these are years-long projects.  That's a serious step in the right direction already.

You should do fine if you're just committed to seeing it through and life doesn't intervene in some other way.

No, she doesnt read my posts.  And i'm still happily married, to my first spouse.    :2thumbs:  I've seen a lot of people though try and try again and fail everytime.  Some people are better off being single and living together.   :Twocents:

Sometimes it takes a second try to be happy, I know its working for me.  First time for me, too young, just out of high school, dated all through high school, you know the deal.

Was at a party long time ago talking to a chick that was about to get married, I dont think she was real into getting married when she told me "I dont know why I have to get married, be better if we just lived together and f**ked!"  Often wonder if shes still married to that guy?

Now back to the cars...Very nice by the way!   :2thumbs:

If you are talking about the yellow RT that was listed a few weeks ago Yes this is it. I believe the guy I bought it from is on this forum. I went to Louisiana to pick it up. 11 hours there 1 hour to load it and 11 hours straight back to South Florida. It was along trip to drive straight thru, My buddy and I took turns driving. There is some work that still needs to be done. Time and money but I am going to make sure this one is done right from the start. I made some mistakes with my 500. One of my buddies that is going to help me with my car is Dave Kitterman. He has a very nice 72 dart that was featured in Mopar Muscle in the Oct 2009 issue.

Congrats on the marriage, 2ed time for me, June 18, will be 22 years, been together since 81. Told my wife the first night we meet on a blind bate ( her sister set us up ) my cars come first you come second.  :smilingly:. I have since found over the years that it is a trade off. If I buy something major then she gets something in return. She never has told me no if I wanted something for the cars or shop. Going tomorrow to pick up a Track Pack Dana, although she did give me a little crap about the price, she is getting a deck around the pool. Which is going to cost a lot more, better find something I need to make up the price difference. :D. So if your soon to be wife is cool about your car hobby that's great, she sounds like a keeper, a man can always have worst hobbies you know. Hope you have a long & happy life together.  :2thumbs:.

Well yesterday was the big day. Everything went very well and my wife was thrilled about the way the wedding went. Been busy today running around getting a few things, we leave for Vegas in the morning. We opened up our wedding cards and we did pretty good money wise. I told her today that I could order some parts for the charger, she told me not to push my luck save it for Vegas!!

A383Wing

If you save it for Vegas..yer gonna lose it all down there..at least buy Charger parts and you will have something to show for it.   :D

Memphis Mopar

Believe me I wish I could order me some parts but I  made a deal with my wife when I went to buy the 70 RT. I told he if she gave me no grief about buying the car I would take her to Vegas for our honeymoon and she could go to the shows and gamble. She loves vegas so I made good on my part of the deal. lol maybe I will win a little bit and be able to buy some parts when I get home!!

Way to go!  Hope you have a great time in Vegas.  Am married for the 3rd time.  Meet my wife on line, she was in LA and me in Seattle.  We talked everynight and I always told her about the bird (a Mopar guy since 1968).  One night she said she was not jealous of the bird and I told here that was great because if she did not like talking about the cars she would not like the life style.  We have been HAPPLY married for 7 years now and she is a keeper.  I always enjoyed the ride, but it was her that said she wanted more bling.  Really is great when the wife understand your addiction.

Back from the honeymoon in Vegas!!! Had a blast and did not lose much money. My wife on the other hand brought home an extra 2 grand that she won. I was thinking she would throw me a few bucks but she has other plans for the money she won.

And so begins lesson number one in Marriage 101.  :D

Yes I am learning the marriage 101 class and I am trying to get straight A's. My first marriage ended badly and I want to do everything I can to make this one very successful and stay happy. Yes I have a very nice catch. She is a good woman and a great cook. Comes from a very nice southern family and she is a RN.

Ghoste

She looks happy in the pic there so that is always a good start.

Ya'll look adorable. Since you spent your money prior to the honeymoon this stash is hers.

Chargergirl thank you.. LOL yes the money she won is hers. In the end I still think I came out ahead. Very nice 70 RT project and all I had to do was take her to Vegas. I am not much of a gambler. She loves to play the slots, blackjack and roulette (sp). I had a lot of fun learning how to play craps.
