Does the back of my voltage regulator look ok?

I'm sanding down my factory voltage regulator for my Duster and I noticed the back of it seems to be a bit bubbled. Is this alright or should I replace it?

I would think it is ok.  If it was that bad, it would have been melting and running down your firewall.  If you do have concerns, keep a spare inside your glove box.

I agree, I keep a spare in the trunk.  But I have seen plenty look like that.  Some have a clear, some black.  Some show more than others.

yeah like the others say !! just make sure its grounded well when you put back

That looks fine, Cody.. I've seen them where some of that was melted off and running down the back and they still worked.
