I went to Tube Chassis Designz last week to pick up my car, and I was in awe seeing this thing in person. I had seen pictures, but this car is a raw beast when you're looking at it... And you, too, can own one for $90k!!  But act quickly, there's only 50 of them made per year, so you'll need to reserve your spot... But , the fact that you can buy an 8 second car off an assembly line is pretty impressive.

Anyways, feast your eyes on Tasca's personal CobraJet.. It's at Jon's shop getting a Liberty 5 speed pro-stock tranny installed. This car has run an 8.97 out of the box..

Then there's this beast.. Started as a normal street car adn morphed into this 8 second beast running on 10.5" tires... This is still registered for street use... not sure I'd want to meet it at a set of lights!!

I assume that must be Tasca Ford ?  I know they did a bunch of racing in the 60s.

Remember the average response time to a 911 call is over 4 minutes.

The average response time of a 357 magnum is 1400 FPS.

They had one of those Ford Mustangs up for auction on the Mecum auction last night. I missed its sale price though. I guess they come from the factory all decked out.  :2thumbs:

I wounder who they let drive them off the line into roll test. :D. Roll test has two big rollers that they run the cars or trucks up to different speeds to check things out. My one boss use to roll test the big block Vetts in the 60s, said they use to walk the rear tires up on the front roller, cause they were going so fast. Speed got to love it. :drool5:.

So much for the HEMI Dart\Barracuda being the fastest 'production' car in the quarter mile.

So if you buy any of the new Cobra Jet Mustangs it will run 8 second E.T's...or is it just that one which runs the number?  I heard they were 10 second quick out of the box but not 8 second quick.  :scratchchin:
