Dang Trees! LOL

Man, sense Saturday, I been kinda hurting myself it seems. Saturday, my cousin had a tree fall from the neighbors ground over onto his and smash his grape vine patch and I went over to help him cut the tree up as he didn't want it laying across his yard. I don't blame him at all on that as I sure wouldn't want a tree laying across my yard.

Well around Noon I get back in, he's home, sense we had rain the last few days and wind :evil: :roll: and Sunday being mothers day and also we talk about finishing the tree this evening to get it off his grass and that he could start rebuilding a new vine patch rack sense the other one was wiped out by the tree. Well I go over to help him out with getting the tree cut up and moved. We get his truck loaded up with the cut wood. Well the 2nd trip we decided to take the brush (The top of the tree that we had cut up) and load them up on the 3rd load. Well knowing me.. We was breaking the branches off as they was breaking easy. Well I grab one that was alittle bit bigger then what I though it was. I look at it and think, ah heck I can break this one easy. I look at it like the late Jim Varney always look at things as Ernest. I grab one end with my right hand, and place my foot on the branch on the ground and with my left hand I grab the other branch that is right in front of me. I'm thinking "I'll just take and push this forward until it snaps" well I start pushing and pushing.. well the brch is starting to give so I keep on pushing forward. I have some good tension now on the branch in front of me, well I can feel the tension on the branch I have a hold of with my right hand. I have work gloves on so I'm not worried about my hands. Well as I push I can see the "Y" area starting to give.. then all a sudden.. kawam! I about went for a loop! , the branch gave alright and so did my right side of my head I think! My right ear took a direct hit and I'm not talking just a sweet girly kiss either but rather a hard wack along side my dang head! I was hearing bells of all kinds and seeing stars and I think the lights in georgia might have flickered alittle also from that wack! . My cousin is loading some of the branches on his truck and was turning around when it all happen. He seen what happen and was just cracking up from it also as I was trying to regather myself back up . The branch must have been at least 2 inches round that wacked me in the dang ear. When that sucker hit me I think the way to discribe my face look would be I did my best impresonation kinda of Jim Varney character Ernest on how he look when he got hit all the time or it was down right close to it I say . I still have a slight ringing in my ear yet. Like I told my cousin just after it all happen, I think I knock my own block off.. if that is even possable to do :? if else I sure the heck know I knocked afew screws loose up there I bet with that hit.

Glad you OK, like the old comercal use to say, its not nice to mess with mother nature.

Your in an elite group. Told a friends to open the gate before he cut the big oak branch...he said, in as much as, "that's what a girl would do". He cut the branch it bounced off the gate and gut punched him off the ladder. The gate was 20 feet away and it was a huge branch. He was 6'4" tall about 300 lbs and it knocked him about five feet back. Who knew that a branch could do that? I guess a girl that lived in the country...for years!
