How big of a tire on a 68 Charger in the front can I use ?

Hi everyone have a quick question I hope so here it is

Will or what size tire on a 17" rim work on on the front of my 68 Charger

Will a 255x45x17  or maybe 245x45 -be OK ?? or is that too big/wide

I saw a guy with 275x50 in the rear so not worried about the rears

A common/popular size tire for the front of a 68 Charger is the 245/60/15 BFGoodrich Radial T/A which has a diameter of 26.6 inches. The diameter of a 255/45/17 is (technically speaking since manufacturers vary) 26.035 inches so in that sense it should be about the same. There are other factors to consider of course such as backspacing and rim width but this should be a good start.
