Well it's coming along...   I don't think I like the 01 though...   They don't look quite right to me, and I may have them changed?   I know most Gen Lee guys don't like the 3D effect, but what really bugs me is the center of the "0", (It should be larger with the corners at angles)...   I gave this guy TONS of printed photos and even brought the decals from TNT to use as guides...   What do you think???>

Here is the cross-flags:

Charger_Fan

Yep, the 0 definitely looks different than your pics show.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

moparsons

I think you're right about the center of the 0 needing the angled corners.
It's cool that you're doing paint instead of decals. I also like the crossed confederate flags!

One is the checkered flag...

I think you should get what you paid for. I'd have the 0 changed the way you wanted it to begin with. I think it would look better.

I see a REDO,  that is not like the picture sitting right on the decklid.  I would say get it done right now otherwise you will always look at is and not be happy....

I think it's because of the 3D effect. It seems to me you could have either one but not both.
I kinda like the way it looks and I really like the stars and bars on the back...

Dude.   Just got back from there again, and the small Confederate Flag turned out AWESOME.   As well did the Flag on top!   I'm very excited!

Khyron

looks like nice work being done...

Though I would love to have a GL, I just don't think I can do it to my car. That Y-4 grew on me real fast.

Looking forward to seeing the finished product!

Looking pretty good. I don't know about the 0 in the first picture though. The center seems to need some angles on the inside to look proper. However it might look differently or, you might like it after he takes the tape off and you might not notice it as pronounced.

looking cool, is he going to redo the zero?

Yep it's allready done.  Has the proper angles done now.  I also directed him to do the shading like in my signature box...  I gave him a quart of House of Kolor Kandy Organic Green as an apology (since he looked "wounded" that I didn't like his work)...  lol...

Charger Aficionado

Well he fixed the centers somewhat...   He said they needed to be narrower if I wanted him to re-shade 01s...   I want then like the photo below...

Other than that he did the flag and GENERAL LEE text by HAND, and did a great job! :)

Looking good man. Would like to see it when it's done. Are you going to Dukes Fest or Carlisle next summer. Dukes Fest was a blast, I highly reccomend it.     Al

I'm glad to see some-one put the crossed flags on the General, they should be there even if it was only in the first few episodes

Little to no cutting to make it all fit.

looks great, I love that you included the cross flags. something most people forget.
I think your looking at too diffrent styles, In your sig the 0 is shorter and fatter than the GL in the serries ever had, thats just my take on it... I love the 3-d shadeing look, thats hot.

That is looking pretty good.  Who did the paint??  What engine do you have in it??

Thanks for the positive comments guys...
Paint was done by a local shop, that does EXCELLENT quality work...   I wanted this one to be Top Quality...   There were some variences on logos, but I do like the flag's BLUE color, which is lighter (House of Kolor PBC-36 Trublue Pearl)...   Blue is a little bit wider than decal kit...   01s were way off, so are being re-done...   The Gen Lee Text is 4" further back than it should be, BUT I feel it is higher quality since it is actual PAINT, not stickers...   The final product should be a logo with NO difference in height, and edges should be seamless...
It is a date-coded '69 440 hp2 with Indy set-up...   Only thing wrong is it has low-dollar headders... eh...   Holly 850 CFM Elect Ign MSD, Line-lock for massive burn-outs, launch control box I may re-install, Unilite Dist, New Interior, High-Polished 10-fin Vectors, etc...   It'll be pretty nice when done...
Latest on 01s...   Actual paint-shop (not airbrush artist) is going to re-sand doors, re-paint orange, and do them RIGHT!   They have a TNT Ca.-style decal kit to go-by...   THEN they are going to clear coat the whole thing one more time!   It'll look DEEP.

I'm doing this car as an investment, and think I may actually loose money?   Travis said I was wrong doing a Gen Lee for investment.   BUT it sure will be a NICE Quality one, and we'll see if the bidders come-out (GLs have SLOWED)...?   If I wanted top $, I think I would've gone Silver.   Car is coded T7, no top, stripe Delete (and I didn't like that)...   THE VERY MAIN reason I did this car as a Gen Lee is For my SON!   He is a 5 y.o. DOH fanatic!   :)   (And I didn't dare do my personal R/T SE as a Gen Lee)...   So we'll see how it goes...
