can the bypass hose from intake to water pump be removed & plugged off with out over heating engine or will this cause engine to not heat up & run to cool by running all coolant thru radiator

tricky lugnuts

Are you talking about a small block engine? And the short little "elbow" hose that runs from the intake to the water pump?

If yes, I'm not sure exactly how the coolant flows through the engine, but I think that hose is very important and needed. As far as I know, the only coolant hoses that can be blocked  or circumvented on any Mopar engine are the ones leading from the water pump to the heater core.  :popcrn:

it appears that the coolant run from under the thermostat in bypass hose back into block creating a circle flow in the engine so would it be possible to remove the thermostat block the bypass both ends and have that coolant flow thru the radiator and keep the motor cooler I am running at 195 with bypass connected with a 180 T stat with 10 1/8 holes drilled around the t stat flang I would like to see lower than 180 before I install the A/C unit
