Wheel bearing dust caps

I was about to install the dust caps on my from wheel bearings when I got to wondering . . . do you put any grease in there or just put them on dry? I thought about maybe filling it half way up with grease so that the bearing has what it needs when hot and so that grease from the bearing doesn't work it's way into the cap, stay in there, and starve the bearing. Or maybe I'm overthinking it.

nope just make sure you pack the bearings correctly  , & all i do is just wipe a little in the cap ,   put too much in & the cap wont  go on all the way ! as too much  grease will cause the hydraulic effect
