So i pulled the heads and found out its a low mile motor and probably rebuilt, there was no lip on the cylinder walls and there were valve reliefs cast into the piston i dont think they had those on 318 in 68. 650cfm carb, edelbrock air gap intake, lunati vodoo grind 220 475/494 lift 262/268 duration with new lifters, i rebuilt my 904 transmission too and put in a 2 1/2 in dual exhaust. I still got to put on some 340 heads i want the x heads. any idea on power when im officially finished :scratchchin:?

I like it! the only thing I would change is the cragars to some slots. As for a guess on HP its a small motor so 275. if you had more info on pistons used and deck height we could give a better idea.

pistons 30 over dont know how low they sit below the deck, but i figure if they are sitting pretty low i can make up for it by shaving the heads. Since it will be 340 heads they will have bigger valves and such too, hopefully that will add a little hp :scratchchin:

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

Looking good  :2thumbs:.  Always happy to see another owner who keeps/likes their SB.  When I get back to work someday I will refresh the 318 in my '67 also.
