I need to buy floor mats for my Superbird...any suggestions?

I want to buy premium floor mats for the bird. I don't even know what they came with originally.  Dante's has a set of factory looking rubber floor mats for a 4-speed with the roadrunner logo.  I've always bought the carpeted type but was thinking about doing something different with the bird. Anyone have any experiences with the rubber mats...good or bad? Need to make a decision soon.

I know you can get Super Bee, R/T, Charger, challenger Etc.  I think it would be neat to get a carpeted mat with the super bird Road runner cartoon just like on the wing.  I bet some one could make those!

Decent custom mats are quite pricey.  I've been wanting to order a set from California Car Cover.  They do beautiful work and seem to be the ONLY ones that have the "correct" Charger logo - not that other one out there that looks like a child drew it.

Punch in year, make, model and colors etc.
I do warn ya ... they're not cheap.

I would be interested in getting in on a group buy for floor mats, not necsesarily superbird.  See if I try to help you guys out again :nana:

Dante's might put a group buy together through us, CC.Com and Moparts combined.

I'll e-mail him and ask.

How about ACC? Seems like they have all the other logo's.   I'd be interested in a group buy.  I thought this guy was a member here.

My wife veto-ed the idea of buying the vinyl mats. She wants the carpeted mats since they're softer and she tends to take her shoes off on long trips. That and she said that the car was a little quieter with the carpeted mats and they kept her feet from getting hot from the exhaust. Good points. So, I ordered the mats from ACC through E-bay for $118 including shipping. That also includes the Plymouth logo.
Last night I ordered the car cover for the bird from California Car Cover. That was a little more expensive than I expected. The cover with the Noah type cloth including the duffel bag for storage, the lock and cables and a "Black Ice" logo on the front was over $300.00.
I'm spending a little more than I had planned, but you know what? It's a Superbird and it's all worth it.
I'm still waiting on the parts to install the Gear Vendors o/d unit. I ordered the pistol grips with the built in button. I'll glue the wire down along the back side of the shifter handle for now. Later, I may have a machine shop cut a groove down the edge of the handle and tuck the wire in. This handle could use a rechrome anyway.
My son figured out the wiring problem on the taillights and marker lamps. The fuse that looked good was actually corroded in the end of the tube. New fuse...problem solved.
I think I could get into this car now and make a long road trip with no problems.

That sounds like a good deal for a custom cover.
California Car Cover has covers that are as high as $500 or more but I don't leave my car out much so I didn't feel that it was needed. I usually lay soft sheets on the car at home and then cover the car with the cover to keep the dust and stuff off of the cars. I always throw a cover over the cars when we stay over night somewhere just to keep people from scratching them up when they walk by them, etc. I usually buy Wolf brand covers for my cars but it looks like they no longer offer custom fit covers.
My car is ready to show but it's going to rain all weekend again and they're calling for rain again the next weekend. I may never get to drive the car. We had high hopes of making the Hot Springs show on the 8th. My Challenger convertible hemi clone pulled a best of show there a few years ago. I think there were over 300 cars there that year.
That's about a two hour drive which would be a good trip to test the car out. May even get the GVO installed before then.

I have the same floormats in my 'Bird as Stuart, other than some fading, I'm happy with them. I also have a set of Rubber "Roadrunner " floormats that I put in for shows etc... , but these are always in.
