Opinions needed...

I would like to put the '68 double bumble bee stripes on my car because I love the look... but it is not an R/T car.  Car is nowhere close to original, has modified 383 BB, and still has regular Charger badging, so it's not like I would be trying to pass it off as an R/T.

What are opinions on putting the strips on Charger that is not R/T?

ALSO... If the strips are deemed as acceptable, what are opinions on either white or black or no stripes for this car? (note the white interior)

Thanks...

:iagree: My '69 was an original 318 car but it's got a 383 in it now. I'm putting a R/T stripe on it and R/T emblems simply because I like them. I won't be trying to pass it off as a real R/T though.

:iagree: I think the white stripes would look really nice, especially with the white interior.

Good... that is exactly what I was wanting to hear.
As long as it is not being passed off as something it is not, I like the look, and it should be fine to go with it... right?  This is a question I have struggled with for many years while working on this car.

Thanks for the opinions.

DO IT,,,,
You wont be sorry,,,,,,

I have a 69,,,,( originally a stripe delte car,,, ) but i love the stripes,,,,,

I would see if someone could photo shop the car for you,,,in white and black,,,so you can see the difference,,,,,,

Stripes go on pretty easy,,,really makes the car look sharp....

I like your car without a stripe, but if you're hell bent on putting one on I'd go with white or maybe even red.

I painted a stripe on my 68 never put any RT badging on it.  I do have people ask about it, I just tell them it is my car and I like the stripe.

Welcome to the site.

I too think the white stripe would really set it off.

Or maybe gold metallic.

I like how you think.  I had a red billboard photochop done with my 'cuda.  Only because there's already two other red '71's up here with black billboard's.  As luck would have it they're both elastomeric bumper cars.  :-\

Absolutely, especially since you like them. Mine is definitely going to have them and I'm still debating on adding the R/T tags or not.
