I've never seen fries with peanuts served together (granted I've been there like twice), but if I had to guess it's because 5 Guys fries everything that they fry in 100% peanut oil. They think it tastes better and is better quality. It's certainly healthier than the typical fast food alternative, even if the hydrogenated oils have been phased out. Of course "healthier" is relative.

My wife got me the Charger In-n-Out shirt for my birthday today!  Sweet!  Looks awesome, and the cup isn't on the dash anymore...  Can't wait till I'm in the Bay Area in May for a 4 by 4 Animal Style!

We just got back from San Diego and we ate at in-n-out twice. Their animal fries are something else. Also on the second trip my son tried a 4x4, a little much, but he had to do it once. The new shirt has a 67 GTO and a Roadrunner on it.
