Hey guys, I'm about to buy a camshaft for my 383 :icon_smile_big:but I dont really know what size to get :scratchchin:.  I'm looking to make the Charger streetable with a sweet choppy muscle idle that will force you back in your seat when you hit the gas to dust the hamstermobile next to me at the light.  I've got a 750 carb, headers, a 2800 stall converter and an 3.23/8 3/4 rear.  I don't have a sure grip yet but plan on installing one.  I was thinking of getting one of those voodoo camshafts( 276/284).  Would that work?   I appreciate your help guys.

440 ?

I have the Lunati 60303 in my 446/10.5 c.r. /3.55/ headers/EDDY heads/ RPM intake 800 cfm carb/ A518 trans.

Works well. Lives with an automatic trans, power brakes and some city traffic. Idles at 900 rpm in park. About 700 in gear , slightly rough, you can hear its not a stock cam. If I had the OD trans when I built the engine I think I would have used one notch smaller cam. The Lunati 60302.

The Comp XE268H is a good choice with 2800 stall and 3.23 gears.  :2thumbs:

If available an Engle k56 hydraulic will also do the trick.  :yesnod:

Based on Ron's recommendations I just ordered this Crower cam for my (slightly warmed over) stock looking 383/727 build with 3.23 gears.

Yep, the HDP 271 Crower is another good choice. The Comp has a little more duration which would work good with your increased stall speed.
