Kind of looks like they grafted the center out of a coronet hood onto a real superbird hood. Oh, the inhumanity.  ;D

I think that hood looks kind of cool. It is possible that the Coronet hood was damaged beyond repair before it was cut up to be grafted onto the Superbird hood.

hotrod98

I bought a Coronet bulge hood to convert into a Superbird hood but really hate to cut up a hood that some coronet owner may need some day. All of these hoods are starting to get pretty rare. I tend to buy every hood that I can find that's priced right. I must have about twenty or more hoods around here waiting on some future project.

Here's what a bulge hood looks like as a Superbird hood..

You should try and make something up , to make it a fresh air hood . Those look great but they really should have made them functional . \

If no one buys the bird clone project, I'll probably use the air grabber hood that's on the Black Ice bird on it and put the flat hood back on the Black Ice bird.
At this point, I've pretty much decided not to cut the Coronet hood. I'll let someone else do that.

And, I don't have any extra inserts for the bulge hood. Sorry.

I looked REALLY hard at making a Ramchager hood for my old SuperBird. but when I mocked it up and it had two forward scoops on the hood and two backward scoops on the fenders, it was just too cluttered in my opinion.

Lose the fender scoops and problem solved.  ;D

That nose looks longer than the one on my car. May be an optical illusion.

Wide angle (fish eye) camera lens. That'll do it.
