I need a rebuilt steering box for a 69 Charger.  Is there a compamy that sells them?

www.steerandgear.com - they also have firm feel boxes.

For regular steering boxes try your local parts store. They can order rebuild (to factory specs) boxes - I think A1 Cardone does them.

All the local auto shops were telling me the manufacturer was out of stock and did not know were to get them.  A store in MO. said they will have one for me Saturday they are about $65 more than Advance said it would cost me if they could get them :shruggy:

If you ever thought about trying to upgrade your box it's a good time to do it. Firm feel was real easy to deal with when I used them a year or so ago.

I would either spend the money for the Firm-Feel type rebuild, or swap another used one into the car.  Failing that, there is some adjustment range on the one in the car.

Give FirmFeel a call or contact them through their website. My stock 69 power box was sloppy and leaking badly. Rather than buying a rebuilt one from Part R Us I went with FirmFeel. As I recall they offer 3 levels of "feel" from their boxes. I went with level II . Send them your core and they send you back a most excellent box. Good luck.
