Just everyone knows what had to happen to get the driver side in!  I saw many topics that touched here and there on this and wanted to post what i had to do for install

I removed:

Alternator and belts

Fan and water pump pulley

Starter

Cross link

and drivers motor mount

Then i had to jack up the engine shifting it toward the passenger side about two inches above the motor mount.

( Also not running a stock kickdown, if you are then it should be removed)

Once this was done it easily slide into place.

Although i ran into a problem, that some of you might have seen.  when the header was then hung on the head it didn't sit straight, so i had to remove it and investigate further.  i found that when some one way before me plugged the passages under the exhaust outlets they used a wood screw to plug one hole this was sticking out to far and cased the header to sit uneven on the head.  once i removed it and correctly plugged it , No problems.

Passenger pretty much will slide in to place.

Hope this helps out the people running small blocks.

Highbanked Hauler

I've done headers on both a small block and a 440 in a B body and the only thing that sticks in my mind is removing the clutch pivot bar and and taking the starter out of the BB to get the left side in and then bolt the starter up before bolting the header in place. Also seal the header bolts when they go in and with a SB remove the center link. :popcrn:
