now, she aint pretty, she aint running, but she has PARTS!!!  :2thumbs:

the front clip will be going on my mother's 73 Newport to get that wrap around bumper look, plus all the interior I can salvage for extra parts.  The rear bumper I will hold onto just in case I want to swap the newport over to this style rear bumper, which is kinda cool.

the engine and transmission (440/727) and 8 3/4 will be staying with me.  it has the big disc brakes up front, big drums in back.

the car has power windows, locks, and some other goodies.  here are some pics, to include buildsheet, and some cool 1971 chrysler pamphlets.

gotta love dem pack-rats.... sumbeaches...

this radiator special?

What a shame :'( :'( :'(

yeah, she sat in a field since 1994.  the rear window was broke out and the roof dented in due to a branch falling down.  the roof is rusted beyond repair due to the vinyl top.  you can see the neglect everywhere.  the pack-rats did not chew into the wiring harnesses though so all is not lost.

the hood is rusty, i will need to do a lot of repair on that.  pretty much the summer will be used to get the newport looking good with the parts i get from this car.

the car will not, but parts of the car will be back on the road!

If it has the standard (non auto temp II) air conditioning, I might be interested in the A/C / Heater controls...cables, switches, wiring, underhood water valve, A/C/heater  box etc...

...Just not sure what might be creeping around under that dash  :eek2:

Nice. I've got my eye on a 69 NY right now. Haven't been able to contact the owner yet and I know it hasn't moved in at least 7 years.

Hey, RD !  Don't take anything apart yet! After looking under my dash late last night, I've decided it looks WAY too complicated for me to mess with. I think I'll just leave the Auto Temp II controls in there and sell the car! Sorry for any inconvenience.

They will fit but I think they are only 6 inches wide.

Had a 71 300 for awhile-it was a great highway car. That 440 had no trouble hauling the big brute around.
