We were cleaning their house out last weekend... My great uncle was always a huge car buff.... I just got given a massive box full of MINT auto brochures from every manufacturer and every dealer in New England from 1935-1970(ish). This stuff is amazing!! What a blast from the past!!!

jb666

This is pretty cool! I'm only 1/100th through the pile...

Thank you. He passed away when I was a teen.... She lived a long happy life... Now we're moving 55+ years of things from this house..

He sure did!! He was a huge old-school Ford guy.. loved his Edsels, too... But I'm finding the 60% of his collection consists of Mopars!! This is such a blast from the past.. Back when life was SO much simpler...

bull

Cool! But have you wondered yet why you had no idea he had this stuff until now?

Not at all... We weren't that close (location), and like I said, I was a yoot when he passed away (13). This stuff was in an unlabeled box buried deep in the attic.. It was one of the last things to be "found", but IMO one of the greatest treasures... I'll keep it safe, as he did..

My Dad once owned a '70 Chevelle identical to the one pictured above. I miss that car.

Back during the 70''s and early 80's, I had a 69 Dodge van like the bottom one only a long wheel base. It had a 360 out of a little red express and a full interior including a bed with mirrors over the bed and 4 captain chairs.   I sold the van to a guy that paid all but a couple hundred dollars of it. I have no idea where the van is but I still have the title.

Not bad, I got stuff like that from my days at the dealer in the 60 and 70's, but does he have one of these?
I got this at my Pontiac dealer.    Gonna ebay it one day.  :icon_smile_tongue:
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

jb666

Very cool!! No, I didn't see one, but I passed by quite a bit of Pontiac literature, so I'll have to look!

Cooter

Damn, a 1970 Chevelle looks common even in 1970....
