  Great story Man!!!!  I love reading about the history of our cars.  Sounds like your Charger has had a few rough times during it's life, but I'm glad it's got a dedicated owner who has been willing to be patient and keep her safe till the time is right.  I can't wait to see some more progress pics as you start to work on her.  Keep us updated!!! ;D 

P.S. I love the shots of the mountains in your neighborhood!!!!  I have an Uncle and Aunt in Salt Lake City.  I haven't visited Utah since I was just a kid.

I used to have a set of those sheep skin seat covers. Those dam things shed too!

It was a 383 4-barrel/727 car. If it still had the drivetrain in it when I got it, I would have definitely not parted it out! :-\

I love the mountains too. I've always lived around mountains, to me it wouldn't seem normal without them. :)

I remember seeing that car & thinking at the time that I was sooo glad mine didn't get smacked like that one!  :'(
It's definitely an easier fix from the front.
I tried to buy the left fender from that car when it went on eGouge, but the prices went to the moon!

That is quite a story! I am glad that your Charger did not end up like most would have after a wreck like that...Thanks for saving her to cruise another day.  :2thumbs:  I had some of those seat covers in my Ramcharger too...did not go very well with my black tux on prom night.  :icon_smile_big:

P.S. Good thinking on not cutting up the radio bezel.  ;)

Can you drive it right now?  Is it in running condition i mean. ??    If so i'd fire that baby up and drive it as is!

The guy didn't have insurance (of course :eyes:), but I did get about $800 a couple years later as part of his DUI restitution.

Yeah, it still runs & moves under it's own power. I've been tempted a couple times to slap it together & drive it as-is, but it would just look like an ugly beater driving around...with my luck, someone would rear end it again. :eyes:
I wanted to wait until I could afford to fix it right instead.

Oh, I left out the part about when some lady in a Bug rear-ended me in about 1988 or so. It demolished the front of her lump (Bug) & only knocked out the rust & bondo in my rear valance & lower quarter. :smilielol:
