having problems getting the car to hook...I am running s/s springs with the factory perches and summit adjustable shocks,,I was told not to run a pinion snubber
with m/t's drag radials set at 18lbs....I have a feeling that pinion snubber would work well......the car has a 8pt roll cage with subframe connecters...this car is a 65 coronet 500......I heard from 3 differant people were the pinion angle should be set,,,,if anybody has the experience with these cars it would be greatley appreciated

Who told you not to run a pinion snubber?
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

hey john,,,,,I guess it doesn't matter now, since it already snapped my tailshaft at the mats,,,I know it would of stuck the tires to the ground....I guess I like to learn the hard way.....

A pinion snubber is ineffective with SS springs....i've never run one and see no reason to. There is too much seperation & rise with the SS springs to make the snubber functional.

Mike, the tailshaft broke because the pinion angle was way off. The wheel hop is most likely a result of the suspension unloading because the shocks are too short and topping out. I'm wondering if you have the correct SS springs for your car ? The rear shackles should be sitting vertical or aimed slightly backwards when the car is sitting at rest.

You should be able to make an SS spring work just fine with the power that you currently have under the hood.  :yesnod:
