I bought a 440 out of a newyorker so I started cleaning it getting it ready for paint. and changing a few gaskets. When I pulled the valley pan of I found a bent  push rod just laying there. But all the rods were in place none misssing. Whats up with that? And when I pulled the oil pan it was very clean .

I have seen evil! I have seen horror!
I have seen the unholy maggots which feast in the dark recesses of the human soul!
I have seen all this. But until today, I have never seen such a pain in the ars car like this 68 Charger!

Somebody bent a pushrod in the past and was too lazy to pull the intake and valley pan to get it out.
