Hi, I mentioned in another topic that a friend just gave me a "new" bike after my black NEXT was stolen.. Anyways, today I am cleaning it up after riding it for four days straight and something tells me this bike is special. It is called a Raleigh Technium and the frame is very light. It has no suspension to it but it moves along over bumps very smoothly and the thing is very quick.. It is white with white striped tires and I do not know much about bikes at all but I think it may have been a high end bike for it's time.. The stickers on it,(I don't think they atre stickers, paint maybe?) are Turquoise with pink and yellow accents, this leads me to believe that it is from the mid 1990's.. I was told by a friend that the handle bars are not originals because they do not angle downwards.. I will get some pictures in 10-15 minutes, after I am finished cleaning it..

Can anybody tell me about this bike?
I will not make any deals with you. I've resigned. I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own. I resign. -Number 6, The Prisoner

When I started college, I wanted to start acquiring credit, so I financed a mountain bike. It was a Raleigh Tangent, and it cost me about $1,800.00 new. Great bike, super light and fast! (Unfortunately, it ended up being a great coat rack, as I got too busy to ride!)    I think you'll be happy with that bike!  :2thumbs:

Pics would be nice..
I have a old Raleigh Race bike from the early '70s, I bought it "hot" for $20.oo when i was working for $6.00 per hour part time. I've worn the poor thing out, the "supposed to be circle" where the pedals go through is now a definate oval so I had to replace it with another bike a few yrs back, but over the years I rode it, whenever I'd take it in to bike shops get serviced or whatever - and sometimes out on the street - the bike geeks would recognise it and totally freak out about it.  :shruggy:
