Do people ever put a 1/2 inch notch in the plenum divider of a dual plane manifold anymore?  Most of the info on this stuff is from around '05.  I have an Air Gap and don't want to ruin it just for the test.   :shruggy:

Is it really the best of both worlds (low end torque and high end HP)?  I appreciate any of your thoughts.

Yes, people do it.  I think the question is: Does it help?  And the answer is... it depends.

500" NA, Eddy head, pump gas, exhaust manifold with 2 1/2 exhaust with tailpipes
4150 lbs with driver, 3.23 gear, stock converter
11.68 @ 120.2 mph

Then I guess my next question would be, would it be beneficial on a HP small block?

Your application it too different from my experiance for me to speak with any confidance at all.

If your HP small block refers to a factory HP 340, and it is in a full body Charger, my guess would be that it would hurt the bottom more than it would help the top end :Twocents:

:iagree: With a smalllock and heavy car torque is more important than horsepower. I'd leave the divider alone  :Twocents:
