Took the car out today for the first time this spring and...no heat.

Everything else works fine on the controls except for the heater control cable. That lever will not move. I pulled the glove compartment to see if I could get a look at where the cable is attached to but it's hidden behind one of the vacuum controls. Is this the famous heater control valve?

Does anyone have a pic of what that looks like back there? I managed to get my hand back there but the thing will not budge and the shop manual shows a door lever but it doesn't feel like a lever when I get my fingers on it and I'm thinking it's a non-AC diagram?

Help?

Forgot to mention, it's an A/C car.

Could be frozen cable or frozen valve...un-hook cable from valve and see what does not move

(3 screws in firewall will let valve be pulled out enough to test theory)

Yeah, I'm thinking it's the valve.

Thanks. I will take a look tomorrow.
